this place SUCKS. it's NOT a luxury apt. so many things to tell you:

this place bills itself as a luxury apt.
Don't be fooled by the (semi) nice lobby.
The apts are all OLD, as in 1960s old. And they show it too. Yes there are hard wood floors....old, wood floors. Yes you have a view of the park if you are lucky enough to be on that side of the building. But the appliances in the kitchen are nothing special.
The BAD:
Central AC and heating is a nightmare. In the summer, the electricity goes out sometimes at there is no AC. other times, the antiquated central AC unit breaks, mysteriously on the hottest weekends of the summer. AC doesnt come on until June 1st. THat means that May is a complete torture. They won't tell you this when you move in, either. They say that you have FREE utilities. complete LIE. Winter is the same story. Heating is central, so you cant control it. They don't turn the heat on until November 1st, which means if it's cold in October, tough luck buddy.
Parking is a disaster. You have 1st come 1st serve, and otherwise you have to park at the overflow lot. They have recently started calling the cops on the people that squeeze in and park in extra spots or along the edges. Totally ridiculous. Rather than recognize that there is a parking issue, and maybe just chill, they ticket people. And if you have a garage spot, forget about the nice paint job on your new car. Bc the spots are so tiny and small that you are guaranteed a couple new dings a year at least.
Management is OK. The onsite manager is very very nice....and never available to return your phone calls. The maintenance is a bit better, they usually fix things but not always the next day, and sometimes it does require a few phone calls.
having said all the bad things --- if you want a place with a good location, then this is a plus. it is a safe location, and near rutgers, as well as st. peters hospital, and right across from the park where you can jog or play tennis.
but all this comes at a tremendous cost-- it is 1200 for a studio, 1400 for a one bedroom, and 1800 for a 2 bedroom. that is very very expensive for what you get....this is really not a luxury apt. it isnt a crappy apt....but you dont really get value for what you pay.
