When i decided to move in and sign the lease, my leasing agent was the most attentive, sincere, honest person. He understood that i was a fresh college graduate and helped me in every way possible. My stay here for the first 5 months was bliss. Until ofcourse, they brought in the new management. They insisted that everyone in the garage "report" their cars although all paperwork should be on file anyways! I guess that would have been too much work to actually sit down and sort through each file. Fine, fill out 3 sets of paperwork and yet i end up losing my spot. For 75 dollars a month and the stress you go through every day with the garage, you're better off smashing your car into pieces and storing it in your "spacious walk in closets". Read your lease very very carefully. They hold you accountable for every little thing yet have ways to remove themselves from accountability in every way possible. It makes a lot of sense that the only people who can afford this place are people who have actual jobs and college students who's parents can afford this place (but they're a whole different story), yet, the leasing office is only open between 8.30 and 5.30 and by that i mean 10 - 4. So you drop off your rent in the drop box and get no receipt and have zero interaction with the leasing agents, unless ofcourse you have an issue, in which case they cower and hide and never return your phone calls. The concierge is EVIL. I received a notice for a package in april - turns out it was a christmas present which had been sitting there for 4 months. Oh and if you think they treat you unfairly while you're living there, imagine the joy of the move-out process. First they wouldn't let me leave, then they shut down my fob and threaten me with vacate notices 2 weeks before the date that they set for me to move out. When there are issues or problems, instead of calling you to sort things out they leave notices at your door. I guess calling would require too much interaction. To sum up my living experience here - it's hell on earth. I have never been treated so disrespectfully and unfairly by people who are supposed to be professionals. The only considerate and accomodating people here are the maintenance people. They know you by name and usually try their best to help you out.
If you intend on having visitors, don't! They chase people away with pitch forks and tow trucks.
If you are a current resident, my best advice for you is to communicate with the leasing office by email, that way you always have a paper trail and proof of everything they promise you. This place needs a drastic change in management - that is why i'm filing all my complaints directly to the roseland property management Human resources department (get the number off the website). I suggest that all other residents do the same. They're actually very receptive and call you back right away!

"the only people who can afford this place are people who have actual jobs ...". Am I missing something here? Do you want to live in a place that is affordable to people that do not have actual jobs? Or by people who have unactual jobs? |
