I rent a two bedroom apartment for about year and a half. Like someone said here, there are many hidden expenses that they don't tell you - like parking, extra cable boxes if you have have more than one TV, 3 dollars the build charge on top of your water bill every month. We have a cool summer and i turned the air condition 20 percent of the time and the utility bill for electricity and gas was $290 last month.
The floor plan is a mess. The one i live in has one bedroom right behind the kitchen, on wall apart. you hear everthing in the kitchen, which means you can't sleep if someoen is in the kitchen. the other bedroom is next to the wall where your TV is hooked up. Which means if someone is watching the TV, you have to listin to it.
The central air condition is not balanced. It cools the living room down since there are 4 fans in the living room but only one in the bedroom. There are 5 degree differnce. I always have to have the bedroom door open to sleep at night.
The management, I don't balme the for being sales people but they are never helpful.
i am moving out by the end of this month.

I agree, heating is not balanced. I actually sleep with the bedroom door open as well!
Sound insulation is something to be desired, and the floor plan is funky: why access walk-in closet from bathroom?
But there are good things, too: underground garage, quick response to reported problems, and the lack of alternative housing. Did you find a better place in New Brunswick? If so, please let me know.
