Where do I begin' Like many of those who posted reviews, my boyfriend and I were pressed for time in finding an apartment. Raritan Crossing seemed like a pretty decent place for commuting to work. Yes the model was beautiful but we did get to see the actually apartment before moving in...you'd think we'd know better. We were so excited to be living together that EVERYTHING looked good at the time. All honesty my apartment itself isn't as horrible as some others but it does have its problems. Their idea of preparing for new tentants is painting over everything, even the metal parts on all the doors. I have one bathroom with two sinks''' One of the sinks started leaking and it seriously took them almost three MONTHS to fix it. They ended up replacing it. A few months later my kitchen sink started leaking, surprisingly enough that only took four days to fix. However when I called for the kitchen sink to be fixed, the lady at maintanence had the nerve to tell me that I was going to have to wait because maintanence men had more 'important' things to tend to over the weekend. I live on the second floor and I do have lots of roaches, however they're so tiny that I don't even let them bother me. Now the laundry rooms are gross, scary and almost never work. I used to be stupid enough to do laundry down there and almost everytime I went it was flooded, one or two washers/dryers didn't work, kids DO take your clothes and throw them on the flooded floor. One time I went and collected my clothes at exactly 8:45pm like the sign says to before they close at 9:00pm. I got there and the door was already locked. The next morning I made sure I was down there in time for them to open so I could just go right in and get my clothes...I waited there for two hours and no one came to open the damn thing. Another time I went to do laundry at around 1:30pm and the damn room wasn't even open yet, pathetic. It costs $40.00 per person for a pool pass but the pool is never open when there isn't a life guard which is oh all the time. Everyone in the management office is just unbelievably misrable and rude. I've lived here for a year and ever since I moved in I've gotten multiple notices on my door about the front gate being working. The gate has NOT worked since I got here. At one point the gate going out of the complex was the only one that worked, but coming in got stuck down! So they only slowed us down. They hire the cheapest and dumbest people to do anything for this complex and it surely is a welfare case. I only hope that some day this place gets shut down or something because this is really bad.
