Loved it.

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I lived in Raritan Crossing for one year (July 06 - June 07) and had a really great experience. My apartment was a corner unit, on the 2nd floor. It had two bedrooms and one bathroom. I lived with a friend from college, she had the master bedroom and I had the other bedroom. Her room was enormous, with 2 closets (one of which was a walk-in). My room had a big window and a double sliding door closet. The bathroom had a double sink, 2 closets for storage, and a really big mirror. It was the perfect bathroom for girls, we had lots of room to store our cosmetics and appliances. The kitchen was brand-spankin new, remodeled entirely before we moved in. All the appliances were new, so were the cabinets, counter tops, etc. It was gorgeous. The living room was very spacious, we had enough rooom for a futon, sofa, chair, elliptical machine, tv, etc. The overall appearance of the apartment, with the hardwood floors, white walls, brick exterior, colonial-blue shutters and doors, was very classic and clean looking. It felt like a woodsy, secluded hideaway off of Rt. 1.
The staff at Raritan Crossing was the most friendly, hardworking group of people you could ever meet. After coming over to fix something and having small talk, I continued to have a friendly relationship with the maintenance staff at the complex. Sometimes, they would even come check up on me if they hadn't seen me in a while. At night, the security staff made rounds throughout the complex, occassionally giving me a wave when I returned from studying in the early morning hours. The staff at the leasing office was always attentive and helpful to any sort of needs or concerns I had.
Midway thru my lease, my roommate was transferred for her job. I was suddenly stuck -- unable to afford the 2 bedroom by myself, I sought out my landlord for help. He showed me 1 bedrooms and studios in the complex, and I decided on a studio, and was able to promptly move and get re-situated. The landlord went above and beyond to help me, so that I was able to continue my comfortable stay in the complex. Throughout my entire stay at Raritan Crossing, the landlord continually proved to be a caring and thoughtful individual, willing to sometimes sacrifice his business interests for the sake of the happiness of the inhabitants.
The only two complaints I have are small ones: at night, there are flood lights that illuminate every inch of the complex. Of course, this lighting seeps in through your bedroom window, and brightens your room as well. The complex being well-lit at night makes it feel safe though, so it is worth having. An easy solution to this problem is to buy room-darkening shades. The other slight inconvenience is merging onto a major highway each time you leave the complex.
Good luck in your apartment search. If you end up living at Raritan Crossing, I'm sure your experience will be as great as mine.
