I lived in Raritan Gardens for a year and a half in a 2 bdr townhome style unit. This was the worst place I have ever lived. When I applied for the apt they showed me one they said I could move in (of course it looked nice inside) the day I went to sign the lease that apt was supposedly taken. My apt was disgusting, the bathroom had soap stuck to the fixtures and lipstick smeared inside the medicine cabinet.

I had so many problems I don't even know where to begin. The roof leaked and that's not even an accurate description. I had to place buckets all over the place when it rained. The office's solution - they placed a tarp on the roof!!!! Each time I complained I would hear them on the roof but they never actually fixed it, I continued to get rained on in my apt.

Parking is a joke. If you get home before 5pm you're scared to leave because you might not find anywhere to park again. I received tickets and got towed while living here - and I had a parking decal!!

The apts are infested with roaches. They pretend like they fumigate on regular basis but when I reported that my apt needed to be fumigated they never came. I probably invested hundreds of dollars in insect repellent to keep my apt from looking like public housing.

The worst was the septic system. Apparently all of the apts are on one system and it backed up all of the time - through the kitchen sink. Disgusting!!! It happened 3 times while I lived there.

My advice to anyone looking at Rartian Gardens it to run like hell.
