I lived in the Gardens for over 10 years. Within those ten years, there were roaches galore, no matter how clean you were, especially the kitchen. One of my children was mugged in the parking lot. The apartment was broken into twice. The door frame should have been replaced the first time, but they just patched it to make do. (guess that made it so much easier to get into the second time!) My car was broken into twice and hit in the parking lot there. Parking sucked, always. There were never enough spaces. I had to repeatedly call the police to have a car towed just so I could leave to get to work. Lighting in the parking lots at nights was none existent. I would work till 12am and have to park and walk to the apartment in the dark. It was not a nice environment. The low rent was the only thing that kept me there and in the end even that wasn't worth it. It just wasn't a safe place to live.
