Mice, bugs, noise and bad management From: xxgrzesx@yahoo.com Date posted: 6/24/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   When we moved in we found few dead bugs. There was exterminator that day in the building who did nothing besides placing some sticky paper. I bought bug spray and sprayed whole apartment myself. There were few holes around pipes which I have sealed. We only saw few bugs after that. Mice are big problem. I think they travel near heating pipes. So you cannot get rid of them yourself. I have mouse traps near pipes I we catch them frequently. Noise is big problem. Cars with loud music are driving by in the night. Visitors honk rather that use intercom. Security guards do nothing about it. One night I had to call cops because alarm in one car was on for about one hour. I caould not find security guard, I guess it was to loud for them. The doorlock to main door was broken for three months, when I called managemnt office they always answered "we will take care of it." They fixed it after I called city inspector. The only good thing is that it is close to my school. It is the only reason why I rent this place. Water is also stinky. Tenants are composed of students and people who use stairway as place to urinate. It just stinks and you have to use it often as elevators break often. Laundry is just dirty, I drive to do laundry. Get everything in writing and included in lease as management is not delivering on promises. For example they told me that the apartament that I will get is just being completely remodeled and they cannot show it to me, but that they can show me apartamnet that was just finished. As it turned out My apartament was remodeled around five years ago (date on kitchen cabinets). Bottom line I do not recommend it. There is a lot of trash in the hallways.
