Under-appreciated and Great!

I really liked living here. A good mix of quiet students, academics, and professionals; right in the revitalized downtown New Brunswick; within walking distance to great restaurants, bars and theaters; a fantastic and friendly staff.
I moved out of New Brunswick in early 2002 and moved back in late 2004. Right across the street, a brand new luxury building had opened up. It's pricey, but offers some really great pluses like high-speed internet and satellite TV included in the rent.
HOWEVER, I didn't realize how great Riverwatch was run until I moved into the Highlands. While the kitchens were smaller, the fixtures not quite as nice, and flash not as flashy at Riverwatch, the complex was SO well run! Here at Highlands, the elevators never work, the satellite TV is always going out in the rain, the internet is always down, and the building seems to market to irresponsible obnoxious college kids with too much money and no respect for their neighbors.
If you're between the two, as long as you can deal with a ever-so-slightly older place with a smaller kitchen and buying a cable modem router, I'd easily recommend Riverwatch over Highlands. And if you're just considering Riverwatch, I'd have to tell you to go for it!
