Aside from the 27 year-old-going-on-90 downstairs neighbor who bangs on the ceiling every time I turn the radio or tv on (yet he can blast his music as loud as he wants ), the unit is nice. The floors are nice and this unit's floors seem to have been well-maintained.
The space confines are a nightmare! There's not really any storage space at all. There's ONE drawer in the kitchen which is not nearly big enough to fit utensils. The space in the kitchen for the fridge is a joke. Their suggestion: Put a large refridgerator in the shelf area between the living room and kitchen. Great idea, but who wants to exit the kitchen to get an ingredient for cooking while you're making dinner'
In this particular unit, there's a phone jack from every tenant who has ever lived here. Out of the many phone jacks, only one works.
The best part about this place is its location. It's 5 minutes from the GWB and next to the shopping capital of Bergen County. It's a shame the supermarkets nearby are dirty and disgusting. The Shop Rite on River Road is detestable with employees to match. The Pathmark on New Bridge Road is just as bad. If you need to feel safe about the food you're buying, your best bet is the Whole Foods in Edgewater on River Road, or the Stop and Shop in Dumont on Washington Ave.
