Located in Vailsburg, one of the more run down neighborhoods of Newark, NJ. The apartments and building are somewhat decently maintained for the location. However, I saw the first mice just three weeks after moving in. Caught a total of seven with glue traps within the first eight to nine months. Garbage stinks occasionally. Very skimpy with the heat. I had to buy a portable heater, running up my electric bill in the winter.
Management is generally professional but gets kinda bitchy whenever there is a problem.
Overall a good enough starter apartment if you dont mind the Hood.
