DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU LIKE AIR CONDITIONING

I have been in this apartment for almost 2 years now and every summer there are period of time where air conditioning is not an option. There are some days during the summer where the air conditioner will fail (guaranteed). The apartments will get so hot and the building manager will just tell you that "We are working on it!!". IT NEVER WORKS!!!!! I strongly advise you NOT to move here if you like to be comfortable enough to sleep at night during the summer. BTW, this latest episode of A/C failure has last almost a week!!!!!!!!! Imagine if this week was filled with 90 degree days. I have never heard of any "luxury buildings" or just buildings in general that A/C is not an option on some days when you need it most.

GHETTO??? WOW? And you are a resident in the "ghetto"? How interesting. From what I've experienced so far with being a resident in the "ghetto" is nothing but pure professionalism in a CLASS A, luxury high-rise apartment building, located in Downtown Newark. I don't think I would spend my hard earned money to live in the "ghetto"!! As for the amenities in the building; the "ghetto" bowling alley that has ceiling fixtures that would probably cost me one month's rent, is awesome! The bowling alley usage is by reservation only. There is a limit to use of time and lanes. If you sign up and try it you would have known this before posting about the 20 kids. Secondly, the gym is beyond what you would expect in the "ghetto". I will not continue to respond to this person's nonsense; however, I will say one thing...THIS BUILDING IS NOT IN ANYWAY GHETTO!!! As a matter of fact, can you have the anonymous explain what a Ghetto bowling alley consist of since they seem to be so well experienced with such?? Where did SHE reside before Eleven80? As far as the staff, again, you can not and will not get a Concierge, Valet Parking, etc., in Newark or the surrounding areas in NJ for that matter. I love the fact when I leave my resident someone is there to greet me and say ???good morning". Or when I come in from WORK, someone is there to greet me and carry my bags, hand me my mail, laundry, dry cleaning, etc. Not to mention, whenever my family come to visit they feel as though they are a resident too. The Resident Manager makes me feel as though I'm the only one he has to take care of at times. He's just as human as the rest of us, but he does take care of this building as far as I can see. We have enough security around the clock just as we had when I resided in a luxury high rise apartment building in Manhattan. It's comes with the territory!! I recommend that anyone that is interested come to see it for you!! |

You must work for the building and that is fine, but you should disclose it. I don't know about the building itself being getto, but it is in NEWARK. The staff is nice, but useless. they are always hiding/napping in the apartments that are empty.

I honestly can't stand people that talk so much trash. I love the building and it's been a Heck of a lot better than other luxury buildings I've ever been in. The staff is downright awesome with their greetings all the time, and their maintenance staff is quick to fix any problem that arises. I honestly thought I'd never live in Newark until I saw this place. It's luxury,It's close to the path, and the staff is wonderful. If your a person that loves to complain then move... Nobody wants you there. I would suggest this building to anyone. Oh and best of all the windows open up all the way, So if you want a cool summer breeze you can leave them open. Oh if anything I'm the dude with the TT.

Our apartment has been as high as 82 degrees inside! This place is ridiculous. We cannot wait to move out of this excuse for a building and excuse for a city. It's enough with people panhandling and muttering "cracker" and other, worse things at me under their breath, but the temperature situation is out of control.

I'm a little disappointed in the Anonymous' clearly elitist stance. It is a city. NYC is supposedly world-class and you'll get called things on the street if you walk around long enough. Hey, at least you never had to work in fields.
I've had trouble with my A/C before and it's been fixed. They bought fairly lousy units and now they're paying for it. Hardly something to get all bent out of shape though considering the garbage I went through at my previous residence.
