I'm glad to see 1180 is still a nice place. I moved out in June 2008. I only moved because I have a personal car and a car for work. The parking basically drove me out. Besides the parking, the building was great. Complete 24 hour service..Easy access to NYC..Newark nightlife improved drastically while I was there. The Rock opened, then came Scully's and a few other very nice bar/grill type places around the Rock. Plenty of food choices in the Ironbound. I'm a guy and never had a problem walking around Newark. I can see how Market Street can intimidate some but I haven't heard of anybody from the building being bothered at all less the begging which happens in Manhattan. Staff was great, amenities were great, gym, bowling alley, basketball court, lounge. I enjoyed them all to include a short walk to work. Had a small private (free!)party for my co-workers in the bowling alley and they were totally impressed..1180 almost made me feel like a star. Only if it had parking :(
