By the title of this review I think you can guess that I think Mt. Prospect Towers was not worth the asking price. The concrete floors make it quiet and the walls were pretty solid. The catch is that each wall has large sections about 3-5 feet wide where pipes run. These gaps make the wall hollow and you can hear your neighbors when they are fighting. It's a better idea to rent a 1 bedroom. The cockroaches were all over the place. Forget about their once a month exterminator. That poison doesn't get the eggs and you have roaches about 3 weeks later. You have to take matters into your own hands like roach motels and combat gel. Maintenance never responds and your leaky air conditioner/heater will keep on dripping. It also rattled when on. I eventually learned to fall asleep to the rattling. The staff is rude and ignorant. Forget about asking them to help you with anything. I complained about my loud ghetto neighbor who was blasting reggaetone all day and night but the office never did s**t. The maintenance guys are weird. When they came to check the smoke detector I went back to bed in my corner. They were in the foyer. One guy walked over to the kitchen then had a look around. I was like what the f**k are you doing' The two other maintenance guys apologized and told the a**hole in Spanish to go back downstairs. There was one doorman an older Spanish guy who was lazy and stares at you like hes watching television. When I needed a package from him once I knocked on his door. I heard loud porn in the background. He comes to the door three quarters naked and acts like its not his job to know where the packages are. Parking costs money but you're okay on the street if you have an older car. Right around the block is plenty of parking but its across from what looks like a halfway house. Public transit takes like 20 minutes to move 3 miles. One winter it took 2 hours to move 3 miles. This place is horrible dont move here.
