Please don't be like me and dismiss the ratings on this website. I saw some ratings but thought since I looked at the apt and it seemed decent I wouldn't have any problems. Boy was I wrong. I moved in Sept 1st and apparently my apartment wasn't ready, because my stove had a missing burner, kitchen cabinets were filthy with dirt and DEAD ROACHES, broke air conditioner, baseboards of closets peeled off. For a place that has a lease over 30 PAGES long, which lists if apartment isn t cleaned out properly and so forth that there will be charges and penalties. Why was this apartment given to me like this' When the so-called Superintendant Sean Jimenez was asked this his response was "I really don't have an answer for you". The next day the New Jersey Fire Dept had to be called to my apartment because the missing burner from my stove had gas slowly filling my apt since the day before. Let me tell you that the Super lives in the building and the fire dept came to my apartment first! He (Sean) then reassured me that the problems with my apartment would be fixed by that Tuesday after Labor Day. Guess what HE LIED! I then had problems with my refrigerator not being cold enough. They then replaced my refrigerator while I was at work with another one that had DEAD ROACHES in the freezer and they had the nerve to put my food in there with IT! When I asked to speak to Property Manager George Heyer (who is Sean s father) and told him I should be compensated for the hassle I have endured since only being here less than a month and the fact I could off died from gas inhalation, he replied "Well it seems we can't make you happy and we recommend tenants take rental insurance". The latter was his response to my horror of my food mingling with DEAD ROACHES! Then that refrigerator did not work as well in addition to the freezer which I had just put new groceries in. When I called about that no one came. I had to go to work late the next day and make sure I got a working frig. When I asked the Super (Sean Jimenez) to make sure there are no DEAD ROACHES in the next refrigerator he replied, Well everyone has roaches here and I have things to do." In closing I urge you to find residency elsewhere don't let these incompetent morons have your money. I learned my lesson the hard way and now am stuck in a year lease.

That's a shame. Guess you should have looked somewhere outside of Newark then huh genius? Some people are just miserable and that is something you cannot change.
