I must agree with all of the bad reviewers! Everything they say is true! The horrible smells (what are those Africans cooking''''''), the mice and roaches, the RIDICULOUS half-behind "paint job" they just did ---- it took WEEKS to slap white paint on the walls (that splatter the doors and doorknobs -- they never heard of tape) -- and several more WEEKS to slap black paint even more sloppily on the doors -- no notice that any painting was going on! You just walk out your door one day and discover they are painting!

The water is always shut off "due to unforeseen circumstances".

The fire alarms go off at 2 or 3 in the morning all the time!

You can smell cigarette smoke and anonymous foul odors from the vents within your apartments because there is no ventilation. I feel sorry for people who live in there with young children.

Speaking of children -- they scream and cry in the hallways at 6 and 7 in the morning. Why aren't they in their apartments''

The security desk is a party scene. Sometimes the guard won't let you in, but they'll let their friends in.

The elevators are ALWAYS broken. On October 25, 2003 -- all 3 elevators were out of order. Now there are 2 working (maybe 3, but it won't last). That Thyssen Krupp elevator service is a joke.

I don't have a car, but I other tenants have told me about stolen cars and break ins.

The "selling point" for these apartments is that they are near the NY train and they were designed by the great Mies van der Rohe -- but now, trust me -- those things mean NOTHING!

You are better off living paying more money and living in South Orange or Montclair or in New York -- if living decently is important to you.
