Wow, I'm surprised that no one has commented on this property in such a long time.

I have lived in the 515 building for two years now and have very few complaints...

Management does a great job keeping the building clean (both inside and outside).

The apartments have new appliances and many have hardwood floor. Not to mention incredible views of NYC or the mountains (depending upon which apartment you move into).

The few times I have called for repairs, I did have to follow up in order to get someone to come up. The repairs were always satisfactory.

The A/C and heating units are the originals.. during the hot summer months you will most likely need a fan or window A/C unit to keep you cool.

The office staff is helpful, except for the office manager Maria. She is rude and unprofessional. I've witnessed her talking about tenants to other office staff as well as downright yell at people on the phone and in the office.

Currently, the gate to access the parking garage has been broken for almost a week making it possible for people to gain entry to the parking garage. There are 3 elevators in the building and they run pretty fast. Management is pretty good about having them fixed when one does break down.

All in all, I have had a good experience renting here and feel comfortable. As many people have mentioned this is Newark and just like any major city, there is crime. Living in the Forest Hill section of Newark makes you feel like you are in a nice suburb where there are trees and other nice surroundings.

Don't fool yourself there is no suburbs in Newark, not one.
