I realize from the negative comments in a place I live in and like that I can't take any of the ratings for any place seriously on this website.
I don't work for Riverview Gardens. I work out of my home-office as a computer consultant in my own business. I've been in my own business since 1991.
I live in a duplex with garage for $1,202 per month (approximately a 4% annual rent increase). That's super cheap for three floors (including attached garage level). I have a washer and dryer in my garage that hasn't failed once in the almost six years I've lived here. For the most part I'm a hermit so I don't really get to know my neighbors but my next-door neighbor informs me if the water is off to be repaired or will sign for packages for me and give them to me when I arrive home. I have 804 square feet in my place in a duplex. It's enough for a 35-year old single guy. I have a dishwasher, microwave, and heat and hot water taken care of for me and never had problems with those appliances either. When I see places I like in Central NJ going for $1,795 per month (Somerset Woods) well Riverview Gardens seems even better economically.
I do have to admit I've had to call 2 or 3 times to get certain minor items repaired but I can live with that. The staff is okay and they'll get it done (although not necessarily on the first call). To give you an example I broke a stair in my garage so I had them repair it. It came out GREAT and I was really pleased but they've yet to paint it. It's a give and take and I really don't even care if the last two stairs in my garage are painted or not.
North Arlington is a nice community and on the southern tip of Bergen County. I don't suggest crossing over into Kearny (Hudson County) for shopping, food, etc. Stay north of Riverview Gardens and you'll be fine.
There are a few areas I rated Riverview Gardens in a more average area. For example, I gave an average rating for parking because I see the place is filled with cars overnight but I'd give it a 5 personally since I have my own garage and don't have to ever find a spot. The same goes for noise since I have no one living above or below me like many others here.

I disagree. I had an expensive one bedroom without even a closet in the bedroom. I didn't know this upon renting because they only showed me another apartment and said mine was exactly the same. Everything was falling apart and stunk of curry. Maybe if you are a filthy pig without any standards, you will be happy here.
