not bad, not bad at all

I just got married and moved in Aug. I've read allot of these reviews prior to moving here, and must admit I was very discouraged. We had hit practically every rental complex in the area, and frankly, none looked as good as this.

The fact that this apartment is brand new (we are the first to move in) really sold us. In addition to the general look of the entire complex, the CONVIENANCE of all the shopping areas right next door, including the Shopright is amazing. It is so practical being able to literarily walk over to a major supermarket anytime you realize your missing something, or need to make dinner and don't have everything stocked.

THE APT:
We live in a 2 bedroom, 1st floor. I admit, when I saw who was living above us I was extremely upset. They are NOISEY, with what sounds like 100 kids running around at times. But honestly, I agree with the other post here, no matter where you live, if there is someone above you, your going to hear them, no matter how much quality was put into the construction. It is just the facts of living in an apartment. But it didn't turn out that bad, they are usually not on the floor directly above me so it?s not too loud.

I must say, I understand what is meant by poor construction. The walls are not painted very well, if you lean on them and happen to get your watch to hit the surface, there goes another scratch. There is no way you will not scratch these walls and leave marks, no matter how hard you try. I guess you just have to do a good job of covering everything up before you leave with touchup paint. Other then this, I have no problem with the appliances (dishwasher, washer, dryer), or the general construction of the apartment.

PARKING:
Parking can be a nightmare in most areas, I've lived in an urban setting all my life and must say, the complaints on this forum are not 100% accurate. True if you come home late (past 9PM) your going to have a hard time finding parking, but by a hard time that just means you'll have to walk a bit. You will always find a spot if you are willing to walk. You have to realize, this isn't your home, it?s an apartment, and you can't just pull up and park. However if you come home at reasonable times, parking is that not a problem.

CONCLUSION
This place is not that badly priced, its actually a decent deal in contrast with neighboring complexes. The super is amazing, he responds back next day ALWAYS. He even let me have his direct personal number. Whenever I need anything I just circumvent the rental office and call directly to him or if it?s a different natured issue, I call Middlesex management. Complaints about the rental office are true, they are rude, at least 50% of them. But who cares' Why would you deal with them, their purpose is not to serve tenants but rather future prospect tenants. You are dealing with the wrong people if you need something done, just know who to call and you?ll be fine.
