I have lived in Rennaisance for just over 2 years. I was extremely pleased the first year with the quality and quickness of the maintenance staff, as well as with the diversity of my neighbors.

However, over the past year, it seems as though the maintenance staff responds quickly to calls, but does not "fix" what needs to be repaired. They often say they are changing the filters in the heating/air unit, but instead just rotate the filters and place the old one behind the unit. (I discovered this when I put a permanent mark on the filter to see if they would actually change it--to my surprise they did, however when I peaked behind the unit, the old filter was leaned up against the air unit. Several months later, the marked filter was placed back in the unit!!!)

Also, it seems now that the only parking left after 9:00 is on the main road. This is not a problem for tenants living near the road, however when you live in a further building it is not pleasant to arrive home late from work to walk a half mile to your apartment, and back in the morning! (Especially with groceries in hand!) I know that when I came to look into the apartment the lot looked so big and empty, come during late evening hours so you can see the difference. IE: Instead of coming between 9 am and 4 pm, drive through the complex around 8 or 9 at night. You will see a MAJOR difference!!!

I found that the location of these apartments is perfect for my needs, as well as the size, and modern appliances including washer and dryer! However, after a recent hurricane/flood in the area, the CHEAP windows leaked. Unfortunately the windows in my living room, leaked so badly that they ruined my couches and curtains!

When you are look into renting with Renaissance, I suggest that you look into the placement of your apartment, ensure that you do not get a corner building, and that all of your appliances/windows are secure and leak-free.

As long as you can find a way not to deal with maintenance, the lease office (once you move in), and parking you will be very pleased to live here!
