First Impressions

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008

I have read some of the reviews and decided to check it out myself. Lana was pleasant and helpful. I think it is her accent facial features that make her look and sound cold... She had a list of apartments that will be vacant shortly on a tack board along with the floor plans and pricing which was helpful.

The apartments are gorgeous and spacious. I also looked at fox hill run in wood bridge which are also relatively new and have the similar style, but they are way too crammed and the neighborhood is not as nice for the same price range.

I looked at two apartments at Renissance Manor: (Keep in mind that my expectation is for an apartment not a town house)
1. Two bedroom flat (aprox 1095 Sq feet): I thought it was a bit crammed especially the living room and the second bedrrom, the kitchen was reasonable.
2. Two bedroom duplex on the second floor (1623 Sq feet): This had more space than I expected. Very large eat in kitchen. The living room was a reasonable size and if you put a table in the kitchen I think you can use the dining area as a den. I also loved the layout of the floor plan.
The master bedroom blew me away (it is huge and is comparable to the one in my sisters townhouse). The second bedroom is also more that reasonable. The bath rooms were spacious especially the master bath.
For a single person I think option two might be an overkill (I am leaning to the 1345 Sq Ft duplex but I have not seen it yet)
There is a washer dryer in the apt which is one of the key attributes I was looking for.

Things I thought that were not so hot for option 2:
Since the apt is on the second floor you have to deal with 3 flights of stairs every day. They are narrow and I dread carrying furniture upto the third floor without damaging the walls. I also wished that the apts had central air or at least place holders for window air-conditioners.

The outside is nice although parking looked a bit crowded. I think you can walk from Lisa place to the strip mall for groceries etc. which is nice. I did not see people speeding but it just my be that it was late morning and the speedsters were already at work. Nice quiet neighborhood just of 130... I will probably aplly for the place for a May or June move in.
