Overall it's not a bad place to live. Rent is a little on the high side. If you don't have a paid parking spot you are NOT suppose to park in visitor spots which means you HAVE to pay for a spot. Half the laundry machines are usually out of order. Maintenance/super was pretty quick w/ fixes and complaints. Taxes & maintenance fees are outrageous (if you're buying). There is one BIG problem with many of the apartments. BED BUGS. I lived on the third floor. The apartment on the first floor was infested with bed bugs. When the exterminator sprayed the unit, they would run up the walls. Soon the second floor and the third floor unit were infested with bugs as well. I had two little babies and all their toys, crib, clothes became infested w/ the bugs. I had not slept a peaceful nights sleep in 9 months until I moved. The management could do nothing to rid them. We ended up throwing out all of our furniture, the babies furniture, their toys and two suitcases worth of clothes. Our unit was privately owned and the owner didn't care either. He wouldn't do anything about the problem. The exterminator had informed us that the bugs were breeding underneath the carpet. The owner wouldn't even pay for management to remove the carpet. After speaking to several other tenants in the complex, we found out there were many apartments with this problem. We were also told there was a big mice problem in the complex as well. To make matters worse, the owner kept part of our security deposit because he had to exterminate under the carpet. We had to be so careful with what we took to our new place. These creatures can hide just about anywhere.
