My neighbor from accross the hall lost their apartment as a result of water damage (their was a fire in the unit directly above their apartment).

The apartment was condemned pending repair work and the family of the water damaged apartment was relocated to a much smaller apartment on a different floor.

Kushner Companies (Westminster is only a paper name--it does not really exist and is only a front for Kushner Companies) dragged its feet on the repairs of the water damaged apartment for over 6 months.

In the end they offerred the displaced family a new apartment in the building, the same size as their old apartment. However, they wanted to charge them the rent that a new tenant would be paying, a price hundreds of dollars above what the family had been paying before they lost their apartment to the fire.

This family is Turkish, a mother, father and two children. The father workd very hard, but he and his wife do not speak good English.

I lived in one of the larger apartments. An American man with perfect English moved into my apartment from one of the smaller apartments and was charged the same rent for the larger that he paid in the smaller.

Can you say hose job?

This story sums up exactly what it is like to deal with Westminster Management, and particularly Adam Grushko, the property manager at Kushner. Adam is taking advantage of this family, not returning their calls, and knowingly screwing them.

Wherever you choose to move, folks, make sure it is not into a Westminster Management operated apartment. This is only one of the many horror stories RE: Westminster.

Check them out with the Better Business Bureau. They don't return their calls, either, and are curiously not members. But there are multiple listing with the Bureau for Westminster failing to return security deposits.
