This apartment complex is old with faded brick construction on the exterior, but that's the least of the problems. Everything about this complex screams very old. The apartment heating and airconditioning systems are terrible. The apartment has radiator heat which you can not control by thermostat. It becomes so hot in the apartment during the winter months, that you have to open all the windows and wear a T-Shirt and shorts to avoid the suffocating heat. You also have to buy your own casement airconditioners which are difficult to find and are expensive to fit the windows. The windows are very old and poorly insulated. The windowsills have cracks in the wood. The bath room floor tile is ugly and old. The ceilings are in poor condition with cracks and paint chips falling. Let's not forget the parking which is inadequate for all the cars.. Don't leave your apartment at 8pm because when you come back there will be no spaces available and you'll be forced to drive around to every lot in search for a spot or be forced to park on the Nutley Streets.. Nutley has an ordinance where you can't park overnight from 2 to 6am and you'll get a ticket, which happened to me several times. The Nutley police are aware of the parking shortage at Nutley Properties yet they won't hesistate to give you a parking ticket. The maintenace staff is responsive and they will do their best to resolve any issues. That's the only good thing about this complex. I wouldn't recommend renting form here.
