I moved to this apartment thinking the location would be an improvement from the previous situation I had been in. At first, the rent was reasonable and the other tenants were normal and pleasant.

As time went on, they raised my rent each year (claiming it was due to cost of oil or some other excuse). And each year, the class of people declined. I began to fear my own safety at times. Many of the nice old folks moved out.

I was promised certain improvements such as new windows but never received them. But new tenants who had not even paid 1 month rent had new windows. My old windows were falling apart and the apartment was usually freezing. No wonder one winter I was sick 3 times.

The parking was terrible. I had to pay almost $100 extra for an extra parking space. Plus the lines were not visible and other tenants would constantly park in my space. When I mentioned this to the Landlord they said I should call the police and have the person ticketed. They did not want to get involved.

Noise was a factor the entire time. I could hear conversations next door and especially below me. I had problems with the tenants below after 10pm and was again told to call the police. People slamming doors, arguing late at night, banging into walls, etc. I was told we all have to deal with these issues living in an apartment.

Recently, dogs were allowed on site. Probably a last ditch effort to get apartments filled. They crap all over. People do not pick up after their dogs. So watch out!!!
When I moved in I was told no dogs allowed. I guess you have to do what you have to do when the apartments are high priced dumps.

I would not recommend this apartment or any garden apartment to any one. Find a nice two-family house, you will be happier, have more peace and quiet.

There was no Village, and there was no Manor...or Manors.
