First off, let me say I am deeply troubled that some would use an excellent service such as this to continue in a repeated dialogue over their misgivings. This site and these reviews are a good way to look for a place to live, and to demean this process, in this fashion, is detrimental to its purpose. Secondly, I am a Superintendant here at Madison Gardens and was quite shocked to learn of these reviews. I have been employed here for the better part of 12 years. Some of the items stated in some of the reviews may be true, but many are not. We are taking great pains to continually upgrade and remodel the apartments and buildings and keep them liveable as well as attractive. Many of our tenants have beautiful, well-tended gardens which enhance the looks of the courtyards and entryways. True, we are demanding of the tenants to treat their apt's as if they were their own, and that leases are contracts and bind people in agreement, but we do realize that things happen. We have been in a continual process of upgrading the buildings (and apts. as they become vacant), as well as maintain the (occupied) apartments. New outside doors, new kitchens and bathrooms, new windows installed, floors are being redone, doorknobs, outlets, switches, etc, are being replaced. We pass every inspection thrust upon us by every Dept. or Agency imagineable. True, there are disgruntled tenants in the 612 apts. we have, but this occurs at every stage of life where there are more than one person involved. We make every attempt to keep the tenants safe, (new additional lighting) and the removal of trouble (we have a good working relationship with the local law enforcement and other agencies). Before making judgement of the premises and or consideration of renting please do stop by and see for yourselves. We are open, upfront and honest (and yes, we will show you the apt. you are wishing to rent). This is one of the better kept complexes in the area. ( go see theirs, I have!!) It is why I am here.
