This place is disgusting!!! I was once a long time resident, I lived there from 1989-2000. The only reason why you have long term residents there is RENT CONTROL!! You can get a very large apartment for a descent price if you were living there since the 90's. The maintenance manager who is there now is an illegal immergrant, and they rent apartments to mainly spanish people/ illegal immergrants because they pay there rents on time because they dont want any problems. This place was nice when Mr. Gordan ran it, but he died. It was nice when the super lived in building six, and he and his wife took care of the place upto 1999 with the prior management. The new managers took over in 1999 and thats why I moved out a year later. That staff used to pick up the shopping carts, pick up the grounds, clean the laundry room, and take care of things around the property. This place now is filled with bed bugs and cockroaches, and the new management is only looking to dress up the outside and fix up the front so they can throw you into the ghetto in the rear and they have you locked in for a year. There is still one or two good guys on the staff when I had lived there, but instead of using them to get the place straighten out they use the illegal immergrant to talk to the residents and staff so they dont have to deal with them. I know these things because I still have many friends that live there that I work with in the store next door. And they are only staying because of the rent control, where else can you get a two bedroom apartment for $900.00 a month. Maybe if they spent money on fixing the place instead of buying a cute little car for the maintenance staff it would of been money well spent! THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES....NOT!!!!!!
