Not worth the money

I regret moving into this complex. It seemed nice enough at first but I quickly found out just the opposite. The parking situation is awful and if you stop at the grocery store on your way home from work expect to park all the way in the back if there are any available spots left. This also makes me feel uneasy walking from the back to my building. This is inconvenient when you are carrying grocery bags and forget about hanging out late on the weekends, you will never find a spot! Although there is no visitor parking and you cannot park on the street after a certain hour, it is impossible to have guests over. This causes most of the parking problems, as most residents do not adhere to the non-resident no parking rule. If you park in the fire zones or on the street because there are no available spots, expect to get a ticket from the city of Orange. They LOVE writing tickets, especially on this private property. It has a narrow incline into the complex that is the entrance and exit and makes it difficult to navigate if you are entering while someone is exiting. The people drive excessively fast through the tiny parking lot and some people really need lessons on how to park between the white lines. At any given time, people will park across the lines making an already scarce parking situation worse. The apartments are outdated but I have noticed that as tenants are moving out, some renovations are being done to the vacant apartments. So maybe they are upgrading. Guess I moved in too soon! My apartment in particular seems to be on a slant and if I am sitting at my desk, my chair will roll across the floor without provocation. If you get lucky like I did, you will have neighbors that make noise all hours of the night and play loud music with no regard or consideration of their neighbors. It also seems as though most people who live in the building slam the common front door when entering and exiting. Why??? The neighborhood is nothing to write home about. People drive like maniacs on Scotland Road and it is not that convenient to anything. If you live in one of the apartments near Scotland Road, you can expect it to be noisy all the time. Can't wait to move!!

***UPDATE - Since my orignal posting, my apartment has been broken into. Either it was an inside job or the carelessness of the residents leaving the common front door open all the time***
