Worst experience ever

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
On the 3rd day that we moved in, we lost an electric drill (I bought it at $59.99 at Walmart), and coincidently, super came in on that same day, without notice, and no one else could get in our apartment except Super because he has our key. But we have no evidence to prove that. So we say nothing.
Now, 4 days before we are ready to move out, a pair a new shoes were lost. It's a size 14 and I wanted to send to my brother-in-law as a gift. I just bought it at $49.99 at MJM on Monday and I saw it on Monday night, then we went out on Tuesday from 9:30am to 2:30pm, and we found it was lost just right at our apartment. So we are pissed at this time because we are 100% sure that no one broken our apartment. So it must be someone, who has our key to get in and took away. And this guy has strange taste because he only took the new shoes.
The only one we suspect is the one, who has our key and Super has our key. But we are not sure if he came in. So we called management to ask if anyone came without notify us on Tuesday. At first, super said he did come in, bingo! But he said he came on Monday. Hey, that's a -------- because we were at home on Monday to pack stuff, how come I didn't see you came. And he said his shoe size is 10 and he couldn't fit size 14. That's a -------- again. I can garantee he is not size 10. I am size 11 and he's taller than me and his shoes are much bigger than mine. That's too obvious.
He said he came to fix the leaking as required by new tenant who want to move in. But I see nothing being repaired. As a matter of fact, we asked him to fix one month and a half ago, he ever shows up. Until now' And we lost shoes right after' What a conincident, under reasonable double, it could only be someone, who has our key. Humm...
And no one else came in, except him, but we have no evidence. We reported to the rental office and they said we have no evidence, indeed, so what can you do about it as a future tenant. How can you protect yourself' So think twice before you want to move in to here. That's my experience. You are the judge. I just state the fact and make no accusation.
We tried to contact people in higher management, I called the number that rental office gave me a left multiple voice mails and no one ever call back. They just don't care and there is no way to contact the landlord. Maybe you can, so good luck. We reported to the police. Police said it's legal for Super to get in your apartment at any time without notice(THEY NEVER NOTIFY!) because it's stated on the contract and we have to give them the key according to the contract. But, humm, what a perfect system for someone, who have your key and get in your apartment at any time to take any stuffs that they want and you will have no evidence and you can't do anything. Because they know who you are, what you have and they can get in at anytime and take whatever they want and YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. That's the fact. So I am leaving for good and I hope no on ever loss any stuff in this aprtment ever again. Good luck. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
