Is snow removal efficient' 4. Are there parking problems' 5. Is the heating alright' 4. Is the laundry clean'
We are looking at renting a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. We look forward for some honest feedback from our prospective neighbors.

Hello Anonymous, I lived at the Rutgers Village Apartments for 7 years. at the 80 New Road Location. Sorry to inform you but yes their is and will continue to be a Bed Bug Problem. The management company is Bedford Management they are not a responsible organization to say the least. What is really a crying shame is the Owners do not care about the problems they will continue to have with the Bed Bugs. Many of my friends have been effected and been forced to leave. I my self was evicted for being a whistle blower and now the Owners face Federal Charges, for Housing Discrimination and failure to accept a housing voucher.
Move in to that place at your own risk. PS: Have a Good Night Don't Let The Bed Bugs Bite. And remember the lease is not worth the paper it is written on if disclosure is not given to you or anyone before you sign the lease???????????????????

I live at rutgers village now, only i live on the rutgers lane side which is a lot better maintained. I was told that two different companies handle the two different sides(rutgers ln. and new rd.). We have no bugs, maintence is good, snow remooval is good but they dont do it first thing in the morning so if you have to be to work very early you may have problems,The parking is def. a big problem, every person is supposed to get two space but there are no tags or reserved spots so people park their buisness vehicles here, big vans and such, sometimes you cant find a space and we have had to park in the apartment complex next to rutgers village. We live on the top floor which is usually warmer but our heating is great, most the time we didnt even use it during the day. As for the laundry room i have never been in it but i do know the teenagers smoke and party down there at night so i cant imagine its very clean. Rutgers village is a good apartment for the money, their problem is they dont inforce the rules, as in occupany laws(there is a 2 bedroom with 7 people living in it), there are children running around with out rules all night, you cant hear them when the windows are closed but there are annoying and steal things from infront of apartments and their parents do not supervise them. In addition, because of the children and the lack of people caring about where they live there is more trash then there should be. there are also rusty mail boxes, a missing window shade on one of the building and just a total lack of care from residents and owners. I am looking for another apartment, but you really cant beat the affortable price here so sometimes you have to make sacrifices. there are pros: I have never had anything broken for more than a day before they fixed it, the inside wood floors are very nice but the paint jobs arent the best, the windows are newer and nice, but dont dare ask to put bars on the windows to protect a child, it might be the law that they have to if you ask but they will def try to talk you out of it and then just ignore you asking. If you want to be able to do whatever you want to your apartment and around your apartment, this is your place, if you want some rules in place to keep the place looking good and the people under control, look somewhere else.
