I found this website after I had given my deposit for a one bedroom apartment at Troy Hills Village. My first impression of the place was good. The grounds were clean and the apartment its self was clean and it came with brand new appliances. So I left my fee for the credit report and went home. Once I was home I was shocked to read the ratings of this place. I panicked and drove back and forth from philly to nj for 2 other days trying to find a better place and I couldn't, so I took my chance. Let me just say this, the ratings about troy hills village were worthless. They really stressed me out. I have lived here for 2 months now and everything has been prefect. Its safe, the ladies in the front office are nice, including Rena. Perhaps they have strict rules which some people may find hard to follow but I think thats the only way a property is kept in good shape. For example I never find mats or clothes hang drying in the front yards, nor do I ever see trash bags in the front balconies. Rules are there for a reason and I think they are working well for this management. If anything brakes down it gets fixed right away, my neighbors are quiet and there aren't any BBQ parties. Its a very calm place to live in with lots of families. I live next to the basketball court and there are no drug dealers, in fact the cops will drive thru the parking lots sporadically. When I first arrive I asked one of the maintenance workers about this and he said that not only are the cops constantly vigilant if I ever had a problem I could call him and he would take care of it. Once we discussed it, I found out the real facts and it had nothing to due with drug dealers. I do have to say that the trash can be a nuisance because the problem is that we have regular size trash cans in the parking lot, and so they fill up fast. The problem could be resolved by putting larger trash receptacles, and by the way there is someone who takes care of the trash and actually separates the trash into recyclables. If you don't like the way the laundry room looks then you can go 1 block away to a laundry mat. Problem solved. Like I said this website only stressed me out. In my opinion this place is clean, safe and well kept.
