Oh I think Angeles is either Brenda or Rena (Rena probably has loads of spare time since she works for the Town! and I don't they they'd care about the certification that you have to fill out on this website that you're not affiliated either). They are rude to everyone - sad when you have to kiss-up to get things done when you actually pay for it (sit down and think about it, you'll get it eventually). Maintenance is sub-par - always! Band-aid fixes at best. Laundry rooms are dirty and disgusting and machines hardly work. Take your laundry out (there's a few places close by, the one by the police station is best imho). I am hardly bitter or exaggerating or whatever Angeles or any of TVH defenders would or will blog about. There are bed bug infestations in different areas of the complex, I do know because I did make friends with a few people who still live there. There is still stacking, so beware what apartment you choose - go there on a Friday night (or Saturday) and check the area out where you be renting the apartment so you can get a feel for your neighbors. There were a few drug overdoses in some of the apartments I think in 2005' (right before I left). Only new renters will get the modifications such as dishwasher and microwave and even then, if the apartment was in good shape when the previous tenant left, and there was no microwave or dishwasher, they will just band-aid fix what they can, do no upgrade, and rent as-is. It's all cheap stuff being used too. I know this again, because there are people who I know who still live there and see the maintenance and well, when an apartment is empty, you can look right through the sliders. Skunks, yes, there are many. There are feral cats as well as owned cats - never saw any dogs though' If you don't have a lot of cash to throw around, and you can deal with the kiss-up to management, and don't plan on staying long at the apartment, then go for it. Pool membership=mandatory and it's not all that great. Exorbitant fees for a guest at the pool too when you can see management bringing their friends and family in for free.

The sidewalks at night are poorly lit and the sidewalks in some areas are uneven. They have done some deck repairs of late because the decks were falling apart.

Also, if you look back in Daily Record articles, you'll see that while other apartment complexes were getting slapped with fines by Rena Plaxe, THV remained off that fine list and out of the papers and you all can figure out why, I hope. Meanwhile, during that time, THV had stacking issues, bug infestation issues such as fleas and bed bugs, grounds issues, mold issues, plumbing issues such as hot water outside pipes... As you can also see, most of these issues still exist today by virtue of the reviews on this website.

The only good thing about the place is that there is free parking, but do expect the occassional flat tire from junk around the parking lot or a pothole that is unfixed, or the occasional ding in the door from terrible parkers. There are cars that sit for a long time in some spots, but, occasionally, the management sends the boys out in their golf carts and they put a little note on the car and it either gets moved or towed, one or the other.

Recently, in one of the quads, their excellent handiwork in fixing the deck above where I used to live, they smashed through the brick into the adjoining apartment's bathroom and caused quite a mess - funny thing, they patched the wall with wood and the tenant was still in there while repairs continued on the wall, and the deck.

Happy renting! I hope I covered it all for everyone, both positive and negative. I was trying to be fair with the review.

Dam that doesn't sound like the same place I live in! And since you haven't lived there in fours years maybe you were one of the problems. I'm not saying some of your issues are not true, but I still find it a nice place to live and at least in my courtyeard it feels safe. I guess everyone can see things differnetly. The pool is great and I have never heard of any infestations
