WORST PLACE EVER! NOT EVEN FOR MY WORST ENEMY

i had lived there for about 2 yrs. at first everything was going fine. i decided i would like to move to another apt within the complex. i spoke to the super and he said not a problem. i was promised for a specific date. i was lead on about 3-4 weeks before anything was actually done. i had to always ask what was going on. go to find out that he told the office i moved in. WHICH I NEVER DID. i NEVER signed or received a lease. when i finally received the key and was told it was ready, i checked out the apt. and it was a complete mess. garbage all over, not painted, air conditioner not in the wall. so i called the main office and said i was not going to accept it. the RUDE woman said that i signed a LEGAL DOCUMENT. which I only filled out an application and was NEVER given any other paper work. the head super got involved. he stated the apt was COMPLETELY unlivable. and that apt was NOT supposed to be rented out. i told them i will end my lease in dec. and find another place to live because of all the lies. 2 mths later i received a Bill stating i owed them money for rent increase. THEY CANT DO THAT I NEVER SIGNED A NEW LEASE!!!! when i called the office i explained the whole situation to another girl and she said it was a misunderstanding and i wasnt going to be held accountable. the final walkthrough showed everything in perfect condition because i fixed it. when i received my check back i had my security minus the money they tried to bill me for 1 mth prior. when i called to try to fight it the RUDE woman stated that she has a copy of my "NEW" lease but refused to fax to me without additional payment. she told me she has NO record of any bill being sent. then in anger after fighting a loosing battle with these people i told her keep the money and i wouldnt tell my worst enemy to live there and not only was the one apt unlivable but so are all the rest and she slammed the phone down on me. RUDE , OBNOXIOUS, LIARS, CHEATERS and THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you should get a lawyer and get your money back, think of how many others they have done this too and how many more will fall victims to their ploy. By allowing them to keep the money you are just making them richer. PS: In 2001 this company was sued for discrimination against African Americans and they lost, a treat of taking them to court for shady dealing will sure shake them up... Don't give up and get your money back

Do you know of a good lawyer that you can recommend me or specialized in this kind of situation? Because I don't have much $ to pay for a lawyer. I also spoke to the Lady in The Parsippany Housing Dept but nothing accomplished. Problem was OK in a day or 2 but it went back to square 1. Please advise Thanks I had a same problem when I first sign the lease I was told if you have any problems in the apartment just tell us we'll fix it, all we asked is to write us a note instead of tell us. I wrote notes after notes after notes and finally I stop by the office and I was told that "We are very busy, we are extremely busy, we will get to it when we could" I just don't know what to do so I spoke to all my friend and they told me next time tell them that you are too busy to pay your rent. You have no time to pay your rent; you are too busy to pay you rent. I never skipped any rent payment ever since I live in the apartment in fact I have been living in the apartment for 3 years and I never received any rebate for my rent. I wonder why??? What happen to my rebate????? |
