Lived there several years in an ant infested apartment.
This is a widespread problem in some of their buildings.
Management did try to fix the problems in time, but only the minor
ones. Every time there was a heavy rain the hot water was off because the boiler room would flood overnight. Not fun especially in the colder season, good luck with shaving or showering. Many times I wanted to call the township about this but put it off. I left the apartment in excellent condition, vacuumed and cleaned. I asked to have someone inspect it when surrendering the keys but was told they don't arrange for it, that in the following days someone from their central office on Vail Rd will inspect it. After 45 days I called the office to inquire what happened, I hadn't received my deposit money check as promised. The lady responsible for this (Roberta) immediately offered explanations with her patronizing tone that checks are only sent out 30 days after moving out. When pointing out that it had been over 45 days, she flatly said "well, I was out of the office last week" (!!). It took another 10 days until I received a note to go to the post office and pick up the check. Turns out there were charges in excess of $200 for cleaning the apt, including a $75 painting job! After 6 years of living there, they had me pay for repainting it! All the other charges were bogus as well, like $45 to clean the refrigerator, or I don't know how much to clean the oven and whatnot. No wonder they didn't want to arrange for an inspection at the time of surrendering the key: after the facts is too late to protest anything...Unless of course you write to the Better Business Bureau, which I will do.
