disapointed

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
I had decided to move to Harbor Terrace last year because the rent seemed reasonable for a 2 bedroom apartment.
Considering the average rent prices in Middlesex County I felt this was the right move for my family and myself.
Though I will admit that I was a bit disappointed when I first saw the apartment. The website boasted about newly renovated apartments and also displayed pictures of lord knows who apartment! To be honest I think it must have been Denise's apartment because god knows it's not my apartment or any other I've seen in my building! (Denise is the young lady that "used" to work in the management office)
Well after much thought and having gotten over the disappointment of the "newly renovated" apartments I decided to think positive and move in.
In the beginning it was quiet and I loved my apartment. I never heard any of my neighbors and was never bothered by anyone in the buliding, but in time the noise pollution began to get increasingly loud. As early as 4 in the morning the neighbor above me could be heard stomping back and forth durring his or her morning routine (I thought that those above you had to have carpetting, guess not) or playing a set of drums until 11 or 12 at night. On days that I'm lucky the neighbor next door will be listening to the tv at such a high volume, that it could be heard from down the hallway or you will hear the dog barking all night! I don't understand this mess.
My heat has also not been working properly for months and because nothing has yet been done about the situation, I have invested in a few comforters to stay warm this winter. Yes maintenance is very slow to respond but honestly I don't think I would mind the sluggishness if the job would get done "right" I shouldn't have to keep calling.
Over all I love my view but I hate the recent noise pollution! I love the spaciousness of the apartment but I don't like the false advertisement of the "newly renovated apartments" that you don't get. And I love my HOT water but the fact I have no heat makes me want to pay rent to someone else who would better appreciate my check on the first of the month.
