Something wrong with administrator of Harbortown Terrace

1. When I rented the apartment, in the Harbortown Terrace LLC in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, three days before I move in they told me my apartment have not the cartport as the other ones but they charges me as I have it $1,295.00 for a two bedrooms. Why' Anybody knows where can I complaint for it'

2. When I asked if the carpet will be new, Marisa told me the carpet is not new but it had been clean up. Hope when I leave this apartment they remember this was not a brand new carpet but a used for some many years for former tenants. I sent a message to the administrators to let them know about this carpet condition. The message I will keep as a proof in case I need it in the future.

3. I reported the kitchen counter has been cutted by former tenants, the manager came down to my apartment took pictures but when I requested them for a copy they say nothing so far. I sent message and I keep copy just in case.

4. They never told me about the gas and the electrical meter location. I do not know if I paid for the other tenant used.

5. They gave me a key for my mail box but when I went to see my box the mail panel show nothing to indicate which one was mine neither the keys, I tried one by one until I found it.

6. There is a parking lot near to my apartment, so I requested the administrator to asign a specific parking lot for myself, they told me they will considerate my sugestion. I have lived in some other complex apartment before and all of them have asigned parking slot for each one of their tenants, when there is not enough the one with seniority is the first to get one.

7. There are many parking slot assigned to handicap just in the block where I live there are 6 and there is only one handicap as a consequence everybody else is parking in the handicap slot. Why'

8. My rent is $1295.00 for a two bedroom apartment without the carport but the administrator sent me a bill of more than $2,000.00 to be pay before the end of the first month.

9. At the end of my first month I went to pay with a personal check in the Harbortown office but I was told that they do not accept personal check and I have to mail to the main office in Woodbridge or by internet with my code number. When I asked for the code number they told me that was sent to my mail box. I found nothing in my mail box so I went to the main office and asked me for my Code number, when I told them I haven't received it, they told me it was impossible to pay the rent without that code. When I asked for it they told me they could not be able to give me one because that is send by mail. How then I go to make my rent payment' The manager came out and told me to pay with personal check for this time. I told them that in the lease says I can pay with personal check, in the website says also I can do it with personal check. Who says then we can't make payments with personal checks' No answer. To avoid all these messes I requested to make my rent payment with a direct payment from my checking account. Hope at the end of this month I will have no problem at all.

10. I have reported many times for wrong doings at the area where I live like electrical boxes open, telephone books in front of the buildings, a Nissan car parked in a handicap area ilegally for more than 8 weeks and leaking oil, carport wall with big holes, blocks and bricks out of place all these for more than 8 weeks and nobody says anything, they really do not care at all. One day I saw the guy who work picking up the papers on the yards, I asked to pick up the phone books but he look up me and left the area ignoring my request.

11. There is no security guard in charge in this big complex building of more than 100 units, at least, nobody told me we have it. If so, I don't know how to contact them in case there is a need of it.

As I live in this area I will keep reporting to all of you.
