I've lived at harbortown for 4 years. It has honestly been one of the worst decisions I have EVER made. The people living here are disgusting and disrespectful. I m going to be random about how I list things about this place

There s trash everywhere at some point in the day (I never saw it when I was looking at an apartment here). If it wasn t for a dedicated trash clean-up crew this place would be one big heaping mound (they come out every morning in a mass clean-up effort & are VERY dedicated). Everyday there are broken 40s of cheap beer thrown about. On trash-day, the dumpsters are overflowing with the vilest garbage. Even walking around them is hazardous, as trash piles up around them.
People around here make me sick. Most are poor, sec. 8 trash. I grew up poor myself, but was never like this. I respected my neighbors, and home. The children of the adults are worse still. They hang out in the playground and drink, do drugs, and fight. Last summer a small riot broke out. Police were here on the hour. In fact, the police are typically here once a week searching the playground with flash lights due to some altercation.
I ve seen chairs thrown from balconies (only to sit on the grass until the clean-up crew removed them), my car broken into twice (1000 of damage for each incident, and 35 worth of stuff stolen), a razor scooter thrown threw a windshield, children completely destroying the siding/walls of the car ports by smashing huge holes in them, numerous domestic disputes with drunken ---------, and most of all- people moving out in mass. Even now I write this as Salsa music is BLARING in a neighbors apartment- a regular occurrence.
This place is awful. Pay no attention to those recent reviews that seem positive (and tote the helpfulness of the rental agents). These have all the hallmarks of being written by employees of Middlesex Management. Do yourself a favor and repeat this: If the rental price seems too good to be true, something might be wrong with the place. Move on, save yourself the time & hassle.

If it has been so bad then why are still a renter there how long are there leases for.

Me and Fiance have just got approved for a unit in harbortown ports. All I keep reading are problems with this community and I see from look see that its a nice area. I know communities have there up and downs but so many problems I read including no number on mailboxs? Management could care less about you? washer and dryer are very small I can deal with that but what about heat and electric? Paying other ppls bills because the boxes got mixed up or mistaken. I just am happy to not live on top or underneath someone. Are the walls really paper thin tho? I would think with as much money we are paying which is actually very cheap with the garage and all the emenities we are getting that I have never had the luxury of having before that the walls would be concrete and crap not like you can punch your arm through the walla and say hi to your neighbor. Can someone please give me a list of the good and the bad and im praying the good is more then the bad. I need something to help me out cuz now im getting nervous i want to go walk through and knock on someones door next to where im going to be moving and see what they actually say. I know where my unit is so idk i just need some help and to stop worrying can someone help me please?

Who said I still live there?? And of course, the leases are yearly (College is typically 4 years...ie 4-yearly leases).
