Nothing wrong with Harbortown Ports

I have lived in Harbortown Ports since Sept. 1. So far, I have seen or experienced no problems with other tenants or safety issues. The complex is rather quiet, with a mix of families and adult tenants. No problems with noise at night, no problem with "thugs". Every morning I see the crossing guards helping the kids on their way to school. The grounds are well-kept, the trash is emptied on a regular basis, and the maintenance staff are friendly and responsive.

actually, there is something wrong, but it is with the management company, Middlesex Management..I have had numerous problems with billing and simply can not ever get in touch with anyone..their phone number always goes to voicemail, never answered by a live person even on the extensions..I have left multiple messages and have never received a call back, so I just keep trying to get in touch with someone...also, their online rent payment system is very poor, so be careful if you use it.....overall, they just have exceptionally poor customer service and don't seem to care about addressing resident complaints or problems

I???ve lived in numerous Middlesex Management properties and for the most part the overall construction is cheap across the board. I was the very 1st tenant in 2 instances and the 2nd tenant in one instance and have consistently experienced the same thin walls, energy inefficient windows, cracked walls/ceilings, etc in all of them! Middlesex Management is fully aware of all of the inefficiencies and flaws in their properties but chose not to do anything about them, simply because they know the costs will be enormous and when all is said and done, they???d have to raise rents substantially to recoup their costs, so either way, the tenants ???lose???. As far as the online rent payment system is concerned, I???ve been using it ever since they made the service available and I???ve had no problems. I???m, however, not surprised to hear that calls to the Middlesex Management offices got you are far as a voice mailbox, been there done that! I would strongly suggest doing the following; 1 ??? Every property has a dedicated Property Manager so I would try to reach out to that person with your concerns (the folks in the sales office should be able to provide their contact info and it should also be indicated on your lease). 2 ??? Write a letter directly to Middlesex Management and send it certified mail. In that letter you should outline your concerns clearly and request that someone from Middlesex Management contact you to discuss immediate remedies. Once that letter is received, you will most likely hear from the Property Manager first because each manager doesn???t want to have complaints submitted ???on their watch???, kind of makes them look like they aren???t doing their job. It is important to be realistic and articulate in your complaints/concerns so you are taken seriously. I???ve had great success in using the second approach which resulted in an open dialogue between me, Middlesex Management, H-Town Property Management and H-Town Maintenance. Even if there was nothing that could be done about certain things, like the energy inefficient windows that have been installed throughout this entire property at least I have an answer to my question and am fully aware of the circumstances and can make informed decisions as to whether H-Town is where I should remain. There were a number of issues in my apt that I brought to their attention and they???ve done everything possible to address all of my concerns (am stuck with the crappy windows but that is what it is). As far as the mail problems are concerned, these mailboxes are owned by the USPS so it is their responsibility to maintain them, not Middlesex Mgmt or H-Town. Definitely contact the USPS regarding mail delivery and mailbox problems 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777). All in all, I???ve been in H-Town for a little less than a year, This is the oldest apt complex that I???ve ever lived in and with that came inherent maintenance issues where apparently previous tenants did not bring problems to the maintenance staff???s attention and whatnot. I???ve had numerous things fixed and/or replaced so I???m pretty content that the apt is in a much better state than when I moved it, but that???s because I???ve also taken the initiative to address certain things and make improvements to the apt myself.
