MY FAMILY AND I ARE CONSIDERING MOVING TO HARBORTOWN TERRACE OR PORTS IN THE SUMMER OF 2009, WE ARE MOVING FROM QUEENS, NY. I CANT BELIEVE ALL OF THE BAD REVIEWS. AFTER READING THE REVIEWS I DONT THINK I WANT TO LIVE THERE WITH MY CHILDREN ANYMORE. IT LOOKED TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, ITS A NICE AREA AND THE MODEL HOME/APT THAT WE SAW WERE VERY NICE. IT DOES NOT LOOK GHETTO AT ALL COMPARED TO EAST NEW YORK WITCH IS 2 MINS AWAY FROM WHERE WE LIVE NOW (HOWARD BEACH). THERES ALWAYS GOING TO BE LOSERS EVERYWHERE YOU GO. IS THERE ANYONE THAT CAN UPDATE ME ON THE HARBORTOWN TERRACE OR PORTS. SHOULD WE CONSIDER MOVING HERE' THANKS

I've been living in Harbortown Ports since Sept, and I really haven't seen any of the problems talked about on the reviews. I saw the same stuff before I moved in and was hesitant, but it's been very nice, so far.

We moved here in Aug 08 with the same hesitant opinion because of the reviews we read. But so far, we haven't experienced any real problems. We have two kids 13 and 5 and they are fine here.

achamizo@yahoo.com I am living for the past 2 years and so far is OK. I had no problem at all with other tenants or kids. Only one day was a flood in my apartment, they cleaned up the apartment but did not refund my lost for about $60.00 that is the only complaint but all other are OK.

hi my family and i have lived in harbortown since september 2008 and it has been good so far, we came from harlem in new york, harbortown is quiet compared to harlem, I like my 3 bedroom 3 bathroom townhouse and have no complaints so far.

Funny that you mention East New York. I've lived in Perth Amboy for 11 years now. I'm originally from East New York, Brooklyn. I will be moving to Harbortown on February 1, 2009. I have several friends that live in Harbortown. None have any complaints. As far as the music and teenagers hanging around, that's everywhere it doesn't matter where you live. I'm looking forward to moving to my beautiful townhouse. I wish you lots of luck!

Half of the complaints are true, but most are not. The walls are paper thin, it actually sounds like your neighbors are in your apartment at times. If you get a big bedroom on the third floor with the three big windows be prepared to freeze. I got the master bedroom with my own bathroom, but i'm beginning to regret it. So cold at night that I can barely sleep and if I keep turning the heat up I torture my roommates and raise our gas bill outrageously. Our biggest problem is with our other neighbors. They love to park in front of our garages so that we have a challenge every time we want to go in and out of our garage. There is a lot of partying going on, on the weekends, but what do you expect? We party too so if you plan on getting sleep or if you work on weekends, I hope your a heavy sleeper. Haven't interacted with any neighbors since moving in (Oct. 08) so haven't had any bad experience with them. I guess depending where your apartment/townhouse is located Harbortown Terrace is hit or miss. Good luck!

I've been living in Harbortown Ports for two years and i like it. My neighbors are friendly and cool and we look out for eachother. When i have a problem i call and they come fix it within a day or two. There's always going to be some noise but in my area at night you can hear a pin drop outside so i guess it depends on where your apartment is. I strongly advise you to look for something in the Ports. I've heard we deal with less problems then in the Terrace.
