Nice Place to Live

I have been here several months and find that the apartments seem to be very well noise insulated and have not been disturbed by neighbors at all. The grounds are spacious enough to walk our dog and parking is plenty. There is a lovely stream behind the complex and although we are not far from a main thoroughfare we are much more likely to notice the babbling brook and crickets than any traffic noise, especially at night when it matters most. The kitchen, although small is relatively new and has a built in microwave and dishwasher. All the rooms, except for a small bathroom (plenty of hot water for showering), are spacious and accommodating. It tends to be dark in the parking lot and for dog-walking in the evening, but the building itself is well lit. The a/c could use an updating, however, heat is included which is a huge plus. The one time I did try to use the basement laundry facility, it was not functioning, but I understand that it generally is. Generally I would recommend Southgate to anyone looking for a new apartment, especially if your dog is on the larger side. Basic rent is $970 but we pay a $30 per month pet fee in addition to regular rent.
