After 8 years I am finally getting out of here. The place was great 8-4 years ago then started going downhill. In the last 2 years to current there have been several break ins (the complex finally acknowledged and offers security system rental now), but the break ins indicate someone with a key entering apartments. The apartment management does the bare minimum to maintain the apartments. There is always garbage around as they don't clean anything up, the people they are renting take less and less care to keep a nice place, and large families are moving into small apartments. It used to be a nice place, but I guess with equal opportunity housing and a great school system (Montville schools) it attracts families (a lot of foreigners) to move to these apartments. Overall, the decline is still a result of management looking the other way on cleanliness, and respectfullness of its tennants. Major repairs (like AC- I had similar problems) go unanswered. I actually had to call Pernwill Associates (the main office) to get a response as the leasing office did not help me last year with a broken AC for over a week. The do nothing for the tennants and it is VERY tacky that the apartment manager continually solicits business as a realitor to everyone here (magnets, adds in the complex flyers, door hangers, etc.). It's obvious why they manage the place, and not a shock they don't care about managing the apartments as much as they care about being a realitor. The other frustrating and deceiving part of the apartment is that you pay ALL utilities like you were the owner of your own condo or house. That means: water, sewer, electric (for central air), Gas(range, water heater, forced air heat). Not enough storage and definitely getting older every day.

You nailed the to the tee, I lived there for 4 years and everything you said was so true. Especailly about her advertisements for the real estate business, and it just ended up on the ground all over the place to make it look like a dump.
