Lived here for 3 years and have had four different apartment managers. Office staff is unprofessional regardless of your rental history especially the manager. There is a lack of customer service and the staff treats people that have issues with a lack of compassion and no I don't mean paying late or being an unruly neighbor...I mean valid issues. Individuals that have had a great experience at Chalet are very fortunate, but they are few and far between. As far as the grounds are concerned, they are ok, nothing to write home about. The apartments are very spacious and the laundry room is a definate plus. Make sure that your budget can accomodate an unusually high electric bill in the summer time, unless you are lucky enough to have an apt with a new air conditioner. The maintenance staff is professional and they take care of requests in a timely manner. If you need a decent living area these are good apartments, but if you expect anything from the management staff as far as a customer stand point good luck finding it here. Oh yeah if there is a problem with the management staff, a means of escalation is not provided to the residents, so any complaints stops right at the front office, even if it is the office that happens to be your compliant.

Have you edited this review lately? A number to the corporate office in New York is now provided at the front office. And I know each one of the staff members personally, and none of them are unprofessional. I have watched them deal with tenants acting inappropriately towards them, up to tenants so unruly they were forced to call the police on them. Perhaps you were one of these tenants?
