I moved into Chalet Gardens last June, and this is the best place I have lived in in years. The management staff is very friendly and open, and the property manager is tough but fair. You do not get anywhere with them by yelling at them, although many tenants tend to disagree with me profusely and regularly abuse the staff. Those are the people that complain because their service is not "courteous" enough. The maintenence is prompt, if you choose to call, but cannot be expected to read your mind and come fix your air conditioning if you don't tell them that it is costing you a fortune, as some people expect of the maintenence staff. There has recently been a lot of construction to make the grounds even more enjoyable, including planting weeping cherry trees along the front and painting the tennis courts. I will not move out of the apartment complex anytime soon. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ

Yes, well... when we asked about the cost of running the A/C we were told that "that is typical" for electric costs around here - at more than 4 times what I paid in north Jersey, I disagree that it's "typical." One look at the Energy Star rating stickers on the A/C unit and water heater prove otherwise, and support the fact that the equipment is simply outdated, not the most efficient available, and not the best available for your money.
Weeping cherry along the front is great... but how about replacing our drafty windows in the back of the complex, instead of just doing the ones up front and along the main thoroughfare? Clearly enhancements are being made just to lure people into the complex, but the upgrades don't permeate throughout.
If it's such a wonderful complex... then why are there currently over 90 empty units? Never occurred to you just exactly WHY the parking is always available, did it?

Well Anonymous when I took them my electric bill and the info on the AC ( I looked up some info on the internet as proof of its age) and took that to them I got a brand new unit with no questions asked. The windows are getting done throughout and not just in the front. I live in the front area and have not gotten mine done yet. Problem is some tennents are refusing entry into the apartment to allow them to change them so they move on to another building. If the tennents would just grow up and allow the men to come in for about an hour or so and let them do their job then the apartments could get done. Maybe you should check to see if any of your neighbors are not allowing them in. As far as the empty apartments. Alot of the apartments are not getting rented so they can refurbish them and also have you not heard that people are not renting or buying homes as much right now. Economy is not at its best. Trying picking up a Courier once and a while.
