It's ashame what I am reading. I am trying to get good and bad feed-back, but it seems I am a little ticked off about what some of you have to say. First of all can we talk about real problems' Complaining about trash and bugs is ridiculous. Of course there is going to be bugs, it's near the woods and any type of living arrangements where homes are put next to eachother for some reason attract bugs. My dad lives in a huge house that is near developments and guess what, he still has bugs inside the house... let's stop complaining about stupid sh**. And if trash is around your area, why complain about picking it up' There are more important things to worry about. I just want to know if people are nice and what I should look forward to. I don't need to read people's negative comments about how dirty the apartment looks and you're not getting BRAND NEW WINDOWS. It's an apartment, not a mansion. And as far as i'm concerned if you cleaned on a regular basis you wouldn't have such bug infested apartments and your place probably would look more presentable. Nothing a little bleach and windex can't take care of. Anyone have serious problems' If you are complaining about payment problems... that's noones fault but your own. If you are complaining about leaks... call maintenence... and if they can't help than I am sorry, but if they have helped then why complain. There are a good amount of people that live in Chalet Gardens because my boyfriend and I drove around the neighborhood to check things out and lights were on, people were outside on their phones, walking around, and so on. So can I have some good feedback'

Here is some good feedback - sorry for all the people who want to post negative nonsense on here - these people are constant complainers who have nothing else to do all day but complain!!! Having been here for a little over a year I can tell you the only bugs I have seen are flies & crickets(coming in from outside) and spiders. I have asked for the exterminator to come in and it was taken care of. The only other incident of "bugs" I experienced was when my neighbor moved and whatever bugs were next door came into my kitchen via the wall that was between our apartments (in fact, the woman above that vacant apartment complained about the same problem!!!). We both called for the "bug man" again and the problem was resolved. Maintenance has always been very cooperative, my neighbors are quiet and friendly (but not over-friendly where they always want to know your business!). All in all it is relatively quiet here as compared with some other complexes (all of the places in Lindenwold, Millbridge and Cherrywood - UGH!!!!) These buildings are old, so you have to expect some outside deterioration - and hopefully that will be taken care of by mgmt. I suggest you go to the office and speak with the ladies there - take a tour with them and see what you think. I know for the money you won't find much better - Kings Row is down the road and cost a lot more per month and does not have the space or amenities like Chalet has. Besides who wants to live right on Chew Landing Road!!! Too much traffic - so if you like peace and quiet come "up the hill" and you will be glad you did!!

It seems like this poster wants a specific type of commentary. You stated "can I have some good feedback[?]" Seems to me you want people to tell you what you want to hear as opposed to what they are/have experienced. Without belaboring some of the aforementioned problems that some other posters said, I will advise that it depends on where in Chalet you end up. Some apartments do have more serious bug problems than others. Some people have had bad experiences with the staff, trash, etc. If you have made up your mind that this is the place for you and all of the posters who complain of bugs and trash are complaining about "stupid sh**", then welcome to the neighborhood.
I will say personally I thought I would have gotten more from the occasions I had to visit the complex. I have had both bad and good experiences during the time I have lived in Chalet--some of which were very bad. For example, my bathtub was disgusting when I moved in. It was clear that it was the very same tub that the last resident had used. I mean it even had marks on it from where they must have removed a bath mat. I informed the leasing office, and to make a long story short after being told inconsistent things, it took over a month to be fixed. I had to shower at a friends house during the week, leave on weekends, and I even stayed away from my own apartment for 2 weeks.
In addition, I have issues with bugs, etc. I understand what this poster and the individual who responded mean when you talk about negative "nonsense." However I think it depends on what you expect out of a place that you pay for and that you want to call home. If you are a clean and tidy person, and you pay your rent on time every month, you do not have to accept any and everything. Yes there may be other complexes that are not as good, but that is irrelevant because as tenants we chose to live in Chalet and not in those other places. Just as we have responsibilities as tenants and Chalet management has expectations of us, so do we when it comes to them. Just because you live in an apartment complex does not mean that you have to be okay with bugs being there. For those of us who don't mind living amongst trash and bugs, then ignore those complaints because clearly that is not an issue that you have.
So for the "good" feedback: the complex is ok. With respect to the people: people are people. I only know the neighbors who live in the 3 apartments closest to me: 1 is very nice; 1 has never spoken to me despite seeing me on several occasions; and the other seems to be ok. I am sure your situation will differ if you decide to live here. Another "good" thing I guess is that on some occasions my maintenance requests have been answered quickly. Another would be that the appliances (i.e, washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator) are generally new (or at least look that way), and the apartments are pretty spacious.

How's this for bad feedback and a slightly serious thing...my tub filled up with human waste because the sewer was backed up....is that specific enough for you!

thats write lets not think about getting clean in human waste.Lets look at the brighter side. Its not every day.Its only ones a month.I ask maintenance about this problem.they say we are not aloud to tell you that the building is not level and sinking which is collapsing.I also found out that this place is built over a land fill.Hows that for a brighter side. That could be why theres so my flys around here. But back to my tub. They will not fix my pipe promblem. because they want me to move first so they can jake the building up and fix the pipe.Hows that for a brighter side of things.LETS NOT TAKE CARE OF RENT PEOPLE FIRST.lets look at the people who are coming in. If it get fixed or if they can hide it. most likely they will hide it untill sh-- come up your drain.Aint nothing like wakeing up and stepping on your rug thats wet from waste that comes up and fills your aptment. But again at least they change out my rug.7 times. So I guess your write, there is a bright side of things.I am now going to end this on a good note.IM MOVING OUT IN 2 DAYS.So good luck to you people coming in.
