I have lived in Chateau Ridge since 2002. It looks nice on the outside, but once you get inside its a different story. First, maintenance never comes when you need it. I lived with BLACK mold above my bed for about 6 months and when they finally came, they cut a huge hole out of my ceiling, and now almost 8 months later-the hole remains. We also had our bathtub faucet leaking scalding hot water for months and mold would develop every three days and the smell was awful!! That took about a month and a half to get fixed. The apartments are so hot in the winter that I have my air conditioner on all winter long to combat the heat that you can't control. My fiance locked himself out one day, and they had to break the lock to let him in. They fixed the lock' Months later, my bottom lock still does not lock. I can say that I have never seen soooo many spiders in my lifetime. I have seen at least 20 different varieties in this building just crawling about. Last winter when we had that bad winter storm the plow trucks plowed all of our cars in and it took at least two hours to plow out your car. They also did not salt the walkways and if you wanted the path shoveled you had to do it yourself. There are only 3 washers and 3 dryers per building with approximately 20 units per building. Half the time they are broken. One unit caught on fire in the summer time. That unit has no doorknob, and a pane of glass missing out of the front door, the door remains open wide for days at a time leaving ti available for anything that wants to go in there and do whatever they want. There is a bar literally on the same parking lot that has been raided numerous times and closed at least twice due to drugs and other rifraff. The people that live here are ok, i've never been bothered, though I don't feel very safe at night time at all. I definately think that for the money you are paying it is not worth it at all for what you get. We are not renewing our lease this year and I would not recommend anyone living here.
