I'm a new resident here at Pleasant View Gardens. I've read the reviews, and yes they scared me. When I went to the property I was pleased to find the rumors were quite untrue. I came in on a saturday to a busy office. The staff was very polite and asked if i would mind waiting to speak to someone...they even offered me coffee and cookies. I was treated very well when i was taken on tour and the staff member even talked to me about my concerns. They said they've undergone a lot of changes since most of the reviews were posted and so far it seems to be true. I moved on on a sunday and my stove wasn't lighting. I called the office and someone was out to fix the problem in about 15 minutes.

I'm really surprised to see so many bad reviews for this place. It really is like night and day from reading about it online and actually living here. I highly recommend this place...and besides, they're pet friendly!

You probably got lucky in getting an apartment that doesn't have to many issues, if any at all. I can tell you that when we were looking around for an apartment for my daughter, we went to see the place. They showed us an apartment. I looked high and low to see if I saw anything of concern. Man, did I see concern, I pulled back the shade of the living room window, and I saw a decent sized bullet hole. I aksed the lady about it there and then, and she said she wasn't aware that it was there. Duh. Scary. Then I looked underneath the bathroom sink, and I saw a large hole, stuffed with newspaper. That apartment gave me the creeps. I know someone that lived there and she said she had roach problems. I wouldn't board my dogs there. I wish you well, I truly do. But what I saw that day, was a classic example of a dump that was not well maintained. My daughter moved into Rivercrest appartments in Piscataway, neat, clean and not a bug in site. Good luck to you.
