'Satisfactory Apartments, Good service, Bad Management'

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
The Apartments are 30 years old.
Some apartments are renovated and are leased at a higher rate.
Apartment rents are on the higher side which is understandable considering proximity to malls etc. in Piscataway.
Apartment designs and layouts are older and leave a lot desirable in terms of the ventilation.
There is one AC in each apartment which may be an older piece. For NJ weather, you can not do without a bedroom AC - the management has now started charging an extra $50 a month for the extra AC ! Considering you get a brand new AC for $100, this is quite unjustified.
The heating and gas is paid for by the apartment whereas water, electricity are born by the lessee.
I've heard people being charged an extra $80 a month for the carpets too !
The gym is charged at $100 per person extra. Its poorly serviced. The management does not care to replace the paper napkins or the toilet tissues in the gym.
The swimming pool is charged at another $100 extra. The pool leaves a lot to be desired.
The maintenance service is good and prompt. The service personnel are friendly and efficient.
The new manager and office personnel are downright rude and make it a point to charge money everytime they lift a pen for petty reasons.
Overall, the apartment is satisfactory provided the management imbibe some ethics.
