Sorry to be leaving, BUT

I'm a long time tenant, but am now moving into a new home. Rivercrest is very nicely maintained, and I always got good service from the staff. The front office has always been responsive and polite. I never encountered any rude employees.
Recycling was convenient, since there were several garages set aside for this. They used large bins, so you could dump your plastic, paper, newspaper, and cardboard material easily. Regular trash removal is 2x a week, though I suspect they should use larger bins for that, because sometimes they'd be overfull and people would put trash around them.
Rivercrest has been very good with upkeep on the property. Everything stays properly landscaped. Snow removal was always prompt, and the grounds have always been well kept - debris and leaves were cleaned frequently. In fact, when I was househunting, I looked at several other garden apartments that had gone condo and they were miserable in comparison. For a while, I questioned leaving, but I need a place of my own.
There are a couple downsides to living there.
The first is the noise. Due to the nature of my job, I do not keep 9-5 hours, and I frequently work from home sometimes late into the night, or early in the morning. Noise from your neighbor above or below is definitely an issue, and when working late, I'd have to be extra careful not to annoy anyone. The neighbors to the side weren't an issue, but I definitely heard them climbing or descending the stairwell. The second floor apartments have carpeting, which reduces the noise, but that's not enough. Aside from that, due to my later hours, I was keenly aware of the groundskeeping services, especially when they would start at 7AM on the weekends. They always seemed to start at my corner of the complex. No fun at all, especially when I'd have to pull an all-nighter for my job. Noise from other sources was minimal.
The other downside is parking. I don't know how many spaces are available, but towards the evenings, it sometimes seems like a game of musical chairs. A few years ago there were times when I would have to park on the other side of the complex if I got in late enough. That problem disappeared when I got a garage spot, but I'd often park in the no parking zones when I'd be returning from the grocery store, because it was a bit of a walk from the garage to my door. My guests have noticed that it's gotten better finding a spot in the past year.
I recommend Rivercrest to anyone looking in the area.
