Of mice and men....

When we first moved into Fox Run in July 2002, we thought we had found a nice place to live...things quickly went downhill when we discovered that the upstairs bathtub was leaking water onto our ceiling...The maintenace came to fix and got halfway through putting new sheetrock and plaster...and never came back to finish painting it. (mind you, we didn't appreciate it the first time when they sanded down the plaster and coated our bathroom in a white dust--toothbrushes and everything--so we didn't actively pursue that) We were locked out of our apartment when the deadbolt would no longer open or close, we've had mice...and even a MOLE in our apartment and even though they've been out several times to "fix" the holes, they haven't been permanent fixes. Everything takes at LEAST two or three phone calls for anybody to respond. I will say that the people in the office are nice and even sympathetic, but that doesn't mean that the maintenance gets done. We've been overbilled by Viterra for our hot water service 3 times now...each time by close to $200. We're getting out of here, as are most of the people I know...so the one postitive thing I can say about Fox Run, is that now it will have ample parking...but careful at night...the lights along the street and in the lots are barely ever on...
