We had to break our lease, we hated it so much!

My fiance and I were in a rush to find a place to live, so unfortuntately we really had no choice other than to settle with Quail Ridge.
First, as others have commented, it comes across as very nice. The staff was very nice, and the model apartment is very nice too including nice appliances, carpet, etc..
The day we moved into our place, we had accidentally bumped (not even that hard, might I add) into the wall with some peice of furniture...and the wall totally gave. Practically crumbled.
It smelled bad. Old food smells and smokers smells caked in the crusty, old, nasty carpets. Plus, when the people below us would cook, we could smell everything through the bathroom cabinets, no less!
It was loud. Neighbors who liked to leave their doors open to watch TV at high volumes. Loud and screaming children on the playground virtually outside our door. People talking below and beside us. We could hear everything...most of the time.
The washer and dryer was extremely small...and the dryer either did not dry the clothes OR it overheated (after about 10 minutes) so we couldn't dry the clothes.
The air conditioner/heat unit, although they claim that it is efficient, certainly is not! Granted we had a horrific winter, we were paying close to $250 a month for electricity! Efficient, my ...!
Last but not least: there is NOTHING near by. When and if you decide to move to Plainsboro (hopefully you'll just drive by)...call it Plain and Boring. The closest gas station is 3 miles and all there really is, is a grocery store and a school...whoopdeedoo. But the Chinese and Italian restaurants in the shopping center are very good- that's the only thing I'll miss. But it is a beautiful farming town, if you like that sort of place.
I really hope that this has helped. But we hated it so much, we had to break our lease...we couldn't even make it a year, it was that terrible. And they'll charge us to break our lease, too. It's such a rip-off. Please find a better place to live, and good luck!
